Ciriya

Siriyaphon, known professionally as Ciriya, is a Bangkok-based DJ and producer whose journey began in skate culture before gradually finding her place within the city's underground electronic music scene. That early environment became a defining space for shaping her artistic identity. Her connection to electronic sound traces back to around the age of ten, through the distinctive 8-bit tones of early Game Boy games. Those digital textures and looping rhythms quietly planted the seeds of her fascination with electronic music. Over time, she explored various subgenres before discovering house music, which ultimately became the foundation of her sonic direction. In 2022, Ciriya began her DJ career in earnest while simultaneously developing her own productions. Growing within Bangkok's club circuit and independent event spaces, she has continuously refined her sound and artistic voice. Her DJ sets carry a raw, playful, and rhythmically deep character, while remaining grounded in an accessible groove. Moving fluidly between electro, techno, deep tech, and minimal—with occasional touches of progressive—her sets build gradually, driven by defined basslines and kinetic energy that invites movement. As a producer, her sound leans toward minimal tech house and deep tech, blending raw textures with structured rhythmic frameworks. Her productions focus on clarity and groove while maintaining depth through subtle sound design details. Ciriya has expanded her reach internationally through touring across Asia, performing in Vietnam, South Korea, and Japan. These experiences brought not only new friendships and warm receptions, but also a deeper appreciation for the strength and evolution of the underground electronic scene across the region. She observed a particularly strong commitment to supporting emerging artists, especially female DJs—an encouraging reflection of a more inclusive and progressive future for the community. Driven by the desire to create an independent creative platform, she founded her own label, Shuu.. Records. The label was established as a small but intentional space to support emerging producers in Thailand, with future plans to collaborate internationally. Shuu.. Records serves as both a platform for new talent and a personal outlet where she can release her own work freely and authentically. Her latest release under the label is her debut EP, "Ciriya – 001." One track has already been released, with three additional tracks rolling out soon, followed by an official download release. The EP was born from a simple yet meaningful intention: to finally share the music she had been creating, encouraged by listeners who had long expressed their desire to hear her original work. In many ways, the project is inspired by the very community that supports her. Previously, Ciriya contributed a track titled "ADHD" to a compilation album by Botobayang. The track reflects her restless creative energy and playful personality, featuring lightly raw textures and a clearly defined bassline that drives the groove forward. In 2023, she released her first official single with the Thai label Pitsawong, marking an important milestone in her development as a producer. Committed to raw expression, sonic honesty, and continuous evolution, Ciriya continues to carve out her own space within Thailand's electronic music scene while steadily expanding her presence internationally.
